Us human animals have a tendency to be continuously in hopes for the future. It is always grand to have plans or events to “look forward” to. While this can be incredibly exciting, and is not in itself a negative idea, it can be unknowingly paralyzing. With your eyes always on the prize it is all too easy to forget to stop and soak up the existing moment. The one you don’t have to wait for. Because it has arrived.
And today is one of those days. Our moment has arrived.
Our offer was accepted on that big old house that caught our eye back in January at our first trip ever looking at houses. It was our first love and now if all goes well with the inspection, it is official. We are homeowners.
Oh the work will be never-ending I am sure. The cost of which will be daunting as well I am sure. But right now? Right now, I do not care. Right now, we are basking in our glory. For we have a house that dreams are made of. I can see my boys running free, the bright hues I will coat the walls with, the meals (and bread!) that will be prepared, a flourishing garden, and hot southern evenings fanning ourselves on that grand front porch. I can hear the goats and chickens already. And possibly the humming of a colony of bees. I can see lots of visitors in our future as well. There is more than enough room.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YES.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! So so so happy for you and your family! I can’t wait to see the house in person!
