Another weekend full, this time spent with a mama and a papa only 3.5 hours away. It was the first time in over ten years where a weekend trip between us is rational and reasonable and it feels like a deep breath followed by a sigh of delight.
So they were able to join in on the Sunday hike and it was a just the thing for a fathers day celebration. The towering tree’s awed the coastal people and the newly named “Vermonters” alike. It was silent, serene and our littlest hikers legs are surely growing stronger for they amazed us with their endurance. Ok, well Miles did, really Rowan was just along for the ride…
We ended at Billings Farm where they were hand churning some creamy ice cream and being the decision maker amongst us I voted to make a lunch of it. Luckily I was amongst fellow sweet tooths.
Spending mothers day with my mother, and then fathers day with my father was a dream come true. I am so very glad to be here!
