It seems like a morning spent in solitude, just a few hours, invigorates me for weeks to come. On Saturday I woke up and made a plan to take myself on a date to the Norwich Farmers Market and visit The King Arthur Baking Company. I left feeling inspired to make. I was in awe of the passion that clearly exuded from each of the artists and farmers tending the stands. I happily ate a maple scone and sipped on an ice tea while perusing the stands wondering if I could ever be parked beside any of these fine folks with a little stand of my own.
Winters in the south were not made for hunkering down and creating something. While it was a welcome change to have the colder months spent in the forest, and at the parks, and at the markets I sometimes longed for the cozy fire (or radiator) to warm my toes by and a skein of yarn or two by my side to keep me company. I will take heed to the things I have seen this past weekend when the weather turns. Perhaps a bit of inspiration was just what was in order.
Beautiful photos! Looks like a great morning!
i look forward to going together sometime!
