where oh where…

I am feeling oh so tired.. oh so tired… and I will tell you that is the reason for my absence in these parts.  There are a few benefits to this sleepy side of me.. I get to see my boys dance without the seeming distraction of a messy kitchen, my cats feel as though I am one of them…napping in the day… and cuddle on me purring my eyes closed, I look out the window a lot, I read full chapter books to my boys in a few days time…  you see? There are positives.

And today, despite my pure exhaustion, I forced on our snow gear and we headed outside and filled our lungs with the cold winter air…  it wasn’t easy, but we did it.  And like most things do, it ended up being just fine.

Our halls are decked (mostly) and our holiday crafting is in progress (somewhat) and we will see what actually gets finished before the seasons end… but most of all I am trying to soak up the thoughts and cuddles of a two year old and a four year old.  They are so sweet.  And they are growing up on me.  And they take care of their mama so well, and for that I am completely filled with gratitude.

  1. A beautiful and tranquil post. Winter days are meant for sleepy days, cuddles, and closeness. Cuddle deep with your cublings Mama Bear, I hear these days don’t last long. Be well.

  2. Such wonderful photos. I especially love the boys catching snowflakes on their tongues!! I hope you feel better soon but I think it’s just normal to feel more tired this time of the year. The bears call it hibernating. : ) Have a great day!!
