Heavy, swollen eyes. Wet and dry at the same time. Iced coffee has long been drained. Shoulders aching and tight from too much sun. Oh ,the world of summer, oh, the need for sleep.
“Shweep” as Jasper calls it. He calls it out to his brothers when he wants a cuddle, and to Lee and I when he is all cozy and clean after bath, signaling for one of us on each side of him in bed. Beggin us to press our cheeks to his as he grins that satisfied baby grin he does so well.
And then sometimes he does this…
Oh this could be my very favorite baby habit. The hot, sticky, sandy lay down in the grass and feel the breeze on your skin, then fall fast asleep habit. It is a thing of envy and inspiration.
And when he wakes up, he likes to practice the whole event over and over again.
Shweep. Sweet gorgeous shweep.
So precious!
