Life is a little bit like a country song at the moment. Babies arm in a cast, washer broke, septic tank blocked, can’t find my cat, weasel got my bunny, you know- the works. It really is borderline scary to see what happens next. But, I am trying not to think in terms like that. I did on the other hand, finish spinning up what I had of good old Comfrey, mixed with a little of my neighbors Shetland and I think the results are worthy of his honor. He was a sweet, soft guy and will be remembered each time I pull on the silky mitts I plan on knitting up with this stuff. It was more difficult than I thought to mix the two fibers, and next time I intend on bringing this project to my spinning group for some tips. That is, when the next time occurs. We decided on discontinuing our bunny keeping adventures for the time being, despite the sadness from the smaller members of our family.
Luckily, I have these rays of sunshine to focus on, slow walks in the pasture, long afternoons weeding, and cool dips in the pond.
