Monarchs are on our minds. Big time. Fluttering insects of all kinds in fact. We have been making “moth juice” to attract them, and scouring identification books as well as devouring story books to keep up the curiosity. Rowan told me today that when he looks at the mountains it just makes him want to travel. He wants to take an RV to Mexico, maybe follow the migration of the monarchs. I couldn’t possibly have come up with a cooler idea for a trip myself.
Tomorrow we flip the calendar to September. The month already containing three family birthdays, possibly the month we welcome a fourth (birth day and child!). We say farewell to the monarchs, and wish them well on their amazing and unimaginable journey. Did you realize that it takes three generations for them to make it up north, and only a single generation to make the 2,000 mile trek back down? No one knows why either.
And just for smiles…
The butterfly paintings look beautiful. And how precious are those boys? Soooo precious! So glad you share all of this great stuff.
Your sweet husband sent us out the yummiest of treats last night at the worthy burger! Miss you Joanne! Hope you are well!!!!!
